Risperidone (Risperdal, Risperdal Consta) is an atypical antipsychotic medication used to treat schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, and irritability associated with autism. It works by changing the levels of certain chemicals in the brain. The medication is available in tablet form with a 2mg dose.
