Description
Hyoscine butylbromide, also known as buscapina, is a medication used to relieve smooth muscle spasms in the gastrointestinal tract, urinary tract, and biliary tract. It is also used to treat irritable bowel syndrome, diverticulitis, and other conditions.
Direction of Use:
Hyoscine butylbromide is usually taken 3-4 times a day. The usual adult dose is 20-40 mg 3-4 times a day. The medication can be taken with or without food.
Contraindications:
Hyoscine butylbrome is contraindicated in patients with glaucoma, obstructive uropathy, or paralytic ileus.
