Description
Mupirocin is an antibiotic used to treat skin infections caused by certain types of bacteria. It is also used to prevent infections in people who are at a high risk of getting an infection. Mupirocin works by stopping the growth of bacteria.
Direction of Use: Mupirocin is usually applied topically, as a cream or ointment, to the affected area of the skin. It should be applied as directed by a healthcare provider, typically 2-3 times daily for 5-10 days.
