Description

METFORMIN HCL SR AND GLIMEPIRIDE TABLETS IP is a combination medication used to treat type 2 diabetes. It contains two active ingredients: metformin hydrochloride (HCL SR) and glimepiride.

Direction of Use: Take this medication as directed by your healthcare provider, usually once or twice daily with meals.

Contraindication: Do not take this medication if you have a history of pancreatitis or if you are allergic to metformin or glimepiride.

Doses and Administration: The usual starting dose is one tablet once or twice daily with meals. Your healthcare provider may adjust your dose as needed.

Side Effects: Common side effects include nausea, diarrhea, and stomach upset. Severe side effects include hypoglycemia (low blood sugar) and lactic acidosis.
