Description
Clotrimazole and Beclomethasone Dipropionate Cream is a combination medication used for the treatment of fungal and inflammatory skin conditions such as athlete’s foot, ringworm, jock itch and eczema. Clotrimazole is an antifungal agent that works by stopping the growth of certain types of fungus. Beclomethasone Dipropionate is a steroid that reduces inflammation in the skin.
Direction of Use:
The cream should be applied to the affected area(s) once or twice daily as directed by a healthcare provider.
Contraindications:
Clotrimazole and Beclomethasone Dipropionate cream is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to any of the ingredients of the cream and in patients with a history of tuberculosis or untreated fungal or bacterial infections.
Doses and Administration:
The usual adult dose is to apply a thin layer of cream to the affected area(s) once or twice daily as directed by a healthcare provider.
Side Effects:
Common side effects include itching, burning, or stinging at the application site. More serious side effects include thinning of the skin, stretch marks, and changes in skin color.
