Description
CHLORPHENIRAMINE + ACETAMINOPHEN + PSEUDOEPHEDRINE is a medication that combines the antihistamine properties of Chlorpheniramine, the pain relieving properties of Acetaminophen and the decongestant properties of Pseudoephedrine.
Direction of Use:
This medication is taken orally, usually every 4-6 hours as needed. Always follow the instructions on the label or as prescribed by your doctor.
Contraindication:
This medication should not be used by people who are allergic to any of its ingredients or by people who have certain medical conditions such as high blood pressure, heart disease, diabetes or thyroid problems.
Doses and Administration:
The recommended adult dose is 1-2 tablets every 4-6 hours as needed. The maximum recommended dose is 8 tablets per day.
Side Effects:
Common side effects include drowsiness, dry mouth, nausea, and dizziness. If these side effects persist or worsen, contact your doctor.
Interactions:
This medication may interact with other medications such as MAO inhibitors, blood thinners, and certain antidepressants. Always inform your doctor about all the medications you are currently taking.
Warnings and Precautions:
This medication should not be used for more than 7 days as it can cause rebound congestion. Avoid alcohol while taking this medication as it can increase drowsiness.
